If you’re eating a modern diet like most people, you’re eating a diet high in processed, junk, low-fat, diet foods overloaded with chemicals and toxins. Your body is used to chemicals, additives, artificial substances, sugar, bad fats, salt, alcohol and caffeine so you feel tired, anxious, miserable and cranky if you don’t consume them regularly.
Your immune system is compromised, your body is inflamed and your health deteriorates so you are susceptible to colds and flu and more severe health conditions such as diabetes, stroke, heart disease, some cancers and high blood pressure or hypertension,
And you gain weight.
So how can you successfully lose weight and heal your body?
STOP eating all processed, manufactured, junk, packaged, low-fat, diet foods, sugars, artificial sweeteners and drinking all-fruit juices, diet drinks and sodas, soft drinks and energy drinks.
This means REMOVING all processed, manufactured, junk, packaged, low-fat, diet foods, sugar, artificial sweeteners, all-fruit juices, diet drinks and sodas, soft drinks and energy drinks them from your pantry and fridge and NOT PURCHASING anymore of these ‘food & drink’ items.
It sounds harsh and it is but I said you had to be serious about losing weight.
The modern western diet is harmful to your health and weight so if these food items are not available to you or are easy to access, you will be less tempted to eat them. In time your desire or craving for them will diminish to the point that you will no longer feel a need to consume them.
So what do you eat?
You eat the old fashioned way.
This means eating plant based foods that are mainly alkaline (the modern western diet is very acidic) so you will be eating leafy greens, vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, healthy fats (these are the essential to build healthy cells) and drinking lots of water (if your body is not sufficiently hydrated, it cannot function properly). To help protect your body from disease, fruit and vegetables need to be part of your daily diet.
The simplicity of plant based eating is that it nourishes your body whilst being tasty, delicious and enjoyable.
Your body was designed to eat natural whole foods not manufactured, processed and artificial foods. Eating a plant based diet, you will lose body fat easily and be able to maintain a healthy weight as well as transform your health, well-being and lifestyle.
If you have been eating large amounts of processed, manufactured, junk, packaged, low-fat, sugar, artificial sweeteners and diet foods, diet drinks, all-fruit juices and energy drinks your body will be addicted to the harmful substances that they contain. Your digestive system has come to rely on these chemicals and toxins so it is highly likely that you may experience withdrawal symptoms when you suddenly stop eating these foods. If you have a pre-existing health condition and/or you are taking medically prescribed drugs, consult with your doctor or health practitioner before making any changes to your diet and have them monitor your progress on an on-going basis.
You are what you eat so by removing processed and artificial foods from your diet and replacing them with natural, plant based foods you will lose weight and be healthy.
